Haven't read anywhere the TiVo box contains a web-browser - does it? Be interesting if it does.
Or is it the walled garden of approved internet-connected apps we have seen and read about?

It has its own dedicated 10Mb connection which does come down the same line to its inbuilt modem and has no effect on your existing connection which will still run at full speed.
It says that you can check your Ebay bids and Facebook so maybe no a browser as such but an App instead.
