Whilst I can see chargeable on demand streaming options being available to access some content, archives of every show or movie you ever wanted to see are unlikely to be available on TiVo for the foreseeable future.
That's a long way off being almost no need to record content yourself.
Having said that, I'm not sure what the current legal position is on keeping off-air recordings. IIRC there was a 48 hour limit originally when VCRs were introduced although these days the various on-line players generally allow you to download content for up to 30 days and play it for a week but that doesn't usually include films and certain other programmes.[COLOR="Silver"]

My understanding from my daughter who has a V+ box is that certain programs cannot be recorded on it due to copyright is this the case?
