If you're still sitting on a trial connection it may well not be affecting you, doesn't change that application management is a reality for all non-trial customers and upload STM is being rolled out to 50M customers when they receive the increased upload.
You can believe it or not the choice is yours, you are not on a production connection at the moment, all production connections are being application managed. When you are returned to the production network you'll have the pleasure of the management too!
Your 200M connection is running on a separate interface from the production 50M customers in your area. Yours is fine as it's trial, theirs are managed.
Hard to be upset with VM when they are giving you an unshaped, unlimited, unmanaged 200M/50M connection for nothing
