I can see no charge for TIVO under its base service equivalent to V+ but a larger HDD, they would have a big issue with current subscribers if they introduced a fee for just that. There could however be a service fee for additional services perhaps e.g. Internet based services available to TIVO? But if I’ve read it correctly on the TIVO site, there is no charge directly from TIVO for such service, but you may have to subscribe to the service and so pay a fee for it which is different.
There are also other additional items to pay for, e.g. being able to transfer recorded content to a mobile device like a PSP, iPOD, which requires purchase of software, see

Certainly delivers the any time and place story on content viewing and with an independent Internet gateway in effect, I would what will be the bandwidth made available for downloading an HD film from Blockbuster say(
