If they jump ship then who are they going to jump ship to? Sky's minimum package is £19 (going up to £19.50 I believe). I wonder as well how many people took out the £7 option. TV choice is nice to have in with the xl package but no way would I pay that for it especially if I chose, or could only afford, to pay for one of the lower tiers.
Are you on a retention deal, lots of people seem to be so are they not being subsidised?. They can jump ship on to whoever they like I assume. If you are not an XL customer then there no longer really seems any compelling reason to stay with VM, virtually no HD and no on demand other than catch up and PPV, I'd personally rather have Sky if I wasn't an XL customer, at least you would get on demand aligned to your sub and a wider choice of SD channels and even without paying the £10 HD charge you would still get most of the non XL HD channels like BBC HD etc.
