We have a huge overdraft but we're not bankrupt. The Government's job is to spend less overall, not to spend nothing. The aim is to use the national resources wisely - one of those wise uses is to spend it on projects that are likely to help the economy to recover. Transport projects can help stimulate an economy, provided they're well chosen and planned and efficiently built.
