I think eventually when the other BBC HD channels arrive the the BBC HD channel will no longer exist it will be morphed into BBC2 HD,BBC3 HD,BB4 HD..

then again it could turn into a sort of BBC SHOWCASE channel ,who knows another wait & see
Given the (current) bandwidth limitations of Freeview, the BBC may feel the need to keep BBC HD to show selected programmes from each of the HD variants of BBC One, Two, Three, Four, CBBC etc.

Whilst I doubt we'll get it in HD, I can't see the reason why we won't get the SD version. Sky customers will be happy with the HD exclusive, advertisers will be satisfied with the same exposure they get with the rest of the Sky channels.

I'm sorry, I wouldn't trust a DS article to confirm today's date, never mind the future carriage details of a television channel.
Yes, I think the confusion that people are experiencing is that the HBO content is exclusive to the Sky Atlantic channel but that does not mean that Sky Atlantic will be exclusive to the BSkyB platform in either SD, HD or even 3D.
