Tried the Windows Installation cleanup utility http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows...leanUp_Utility . It has been discontinued but iv`e used it recently on Java and ATI .msi problems and it`s worked.

Might be worth a shot to see if reg entries are left over causing these shenanigans. If it shows nowt just uninstall it
