I dont know whether its common in all police forces to do this but yesterday at work we caught 2 14 year lads spraying graffiti on the walls of some stairwells in our multi storey carpark.
The police were called and instead of taking them down to the police station, they called their parents and asked them to go to B&Q and buy paintbrushes and paint and stay with the lads until it had all been painted over.
They are coming back this morning to put a second coat on as it didnt cover it properly first time.
That saved a lot of paperwork and court time.
This is Cheshire police.

I wonder if NCP will sue the local Police Force for making kids splatter unapproved paint all over their car park.
