You might remember we launched the BETA version of Player back at the end of July - We've now officially launched Virgin Media Player online and also on mobile, allowing our customers to watch the best of Virgin TV on demand, wherever and whenever they want. We now have nearly 1,000 hours of top shows from the likes of ITV, Disney, Living, MTV, Discovery, History Channel and National Geographic
Player allows our XL customers to be able to watch TV shows wherever they want – at home, at work, or on the move – something that customers increasingly expect and demand from us. It’s available at no extra cost to these customers, so we’re really offering something back!
It builds the foundations for our 3 screen digital entertainment strategy to bring “content discovery” across all our platforms and sets the scene for the arrival of our new TiVo product, which will revolutionise the “big screen” in the home!
The Player also allows us to showcase the benefits of our high-speed Broadband - offering a super high-quality video entertainment experience online without the problems of buffering or limited bandwidth in the home.
Developing Virgin Media Player - New Stuff!
[img]Download Failed (1)[/img]Since the BETA launch of Player we’ve been busy developing the product and are launching a powerful search and recommendations facility. And from next month we will start linking to other players available online, like the BBC’s iPlayer, to make your online entertainment journey as simple as possible.
We will also cross-promote over 400 top feature films that users can watch in our Online Movies pay-per view site (virginmedia.com/onlinemovies).
How to watch online
If you’re an XL TV customer, with any Virgin Media Broadband, go to virginmedia.com/player. Sign in with your Virgin Media Broadband login details.
How to watch on mobile
XL TV customers with a mobile from Virgin Media are able to view an hour a day of Virgin Media Player content on their mobile for no extra charge. Go to m.virginmedia.com/player.
The Player is also available to customers on other mobile networks for a fee.
