As someone who started primary school less than 5 years after they switched to metric teaching, I wish the government would just finish the job and switch everything over to the 'new' system to be honest.

I can appreciate it's a pain for those who were brought up on imperial measures, but the fact is, they have been teaching exclusively metric for a long time now. In fact, nobody under 40 in the UK is likely ever to have been taught imperial measures at school.
