Are we reduced to name calling now?

Yes I'm a believer - in democracy and the sovereignty of the UK, hence my delight at our democratic right to decide being enshrined in law and our sovereignty clearly and unequivocally stated.

Regarding a referendum on Lisbon in case you didn't notice it has already been made law largely through the efforts of the Labour party who I suspect you have a somewhat more positive view of.

I have written to the Prime Minister and as you would note if you read a little more of this forum before describing me as a sucker linked to a page campaigning for a referendum. I want a referendum not on Lisbon but on UK membership to the EU and feel we would be far better served within the EFTA. Certainly Norway, Switzerland, etc, have done rather well within that group. As has been explained to you already a referendum on Lisbon would be a referendum on EU membership.

News flash: just because I like a lot of the things that this coalition does, such as this, doesn't mean that I support everything they do or think that they can't do some things better. It's called having one's own opinions rather than being blindly loyal to a particular political ideology or party or, as would perhaps be more appropriate for yourself, blindly hating another.
