Dragging up an old post of mine but is this still the case?

Sky was charging £920 last year and its now been put up to over £1200 a month!, so its being dropped in 2 weeks. The only other competition for my club is a pub over the road.
The problem was you couldn't just subscribe to sports, you had to take the whole shebang, movie channels as well.

I think the landlord is quite relieved as we understand he's dropping it as well, i guess he thought that even with the monopoly in the area it still wasn't paying for itself.

We're now looking at just getting espn through one of the freeview options.
