If people are stupid enough to use legitimately registered cable modems to contact CS servers then yes they can be found.

If people are using illegitimate modems they can probably be found.

If people are using alternative ISPs they may be found - this relies on compromising the CS server to get a list of IP addresses and then dishing out court orders which frankly isn't worth the time, easier to just take the thing offline and be done with it.

If you can point out where people were going yay DPI, cheerleading and gloating over it that would be good. Kinda odd applauding a company doing what a company should do and protecting their network to be quite honest and the troll baiting makes you no better than the people who are doing the trolling.

A quick bit of satisfaction at the work was cool, it's a good thing after all, the ongoing gloat-fest every time an area gets shut down is really quite bizarre. Of course if you really have nothing else to feel enthusiastic about and such things really turn you all on that much to each their own.

Card sharing is basically taking the output from a single legitimate card and transmitting it across the Internet to however many illegitimate boxes so that they have the information they need to decrypt the TV signal.
