I have never had any problems from cheap DVD's ,just because they are cheap doesn't make them bad, names like Sony can charge more because of their name but to be honest i've had more trouble with Sony disks than cheap ones, if you have a good writer then you should have much of a problem, the days of coasters due to bad disks are long long gone
