Re: recording freeview

A "freeview recorder" works by recording the MPEG data stream from the freeview - they cannot record from other inputs (except for a few which actually say they can, possibly those with DVD recording, as they tend to have an MPEG encoder to allow for recording different capacities to DVD).

A freesat PVR may be the best option, channel mix may not be absolutely identical to "Freesat from Sky", but with the tuner and recorder combined, scheduled recording would be easier than using a Sky box and a SCART connected recorder
