Unless I'm missing something, it appears there's very little stopping the Roma from heading straight back to France...
I wonder if the French authorities are hoping that their rough tactics might persuade them that France isn't a soft touch and the welfare grass is very much greener the other side of La Manche.
Back in the UK, operating under the same HR laws I'd have thought, the home office has recently come out on the wrong side of a ruling which makes fast track deportations of failed asylum seekers illegal.
