I find it more worrying that you lack enough empathy to see that a woman putting a cat into a life threatening situation wouldn't cause people to react.

If someone put a child in to a discarded self locking freezer there would be hell to pay. The fact that it is a cat obviously reduces the reaction but it is still along the same lines, why would you expect otherwise?
Speaking of grasping at things, you'd do well to grasp the meaning of a simple sentence. I said the way that some people react. Your response above bears little relevance to my comment.
