The One show live last night was out of synch.

I am still not convinced that there is a problem with the V+.

Good luck with your quest Andy70.

mdancer - not got anywhere with Virgin. posted the following on Virgin's own
Help & Support Forum under 'V+ HD sound sync issues?'

'I have the standard HD box and am also experiencing the problem with Lip Sync for most HD channels and esp. BBCHD, when put through surround sound system. I have A Sony Bravia with HDMI & Optical link to a Sony Blueray Surround Sound System. I have connected the optical out of the Virgin box direct into the surround sound amp but problem is still there. The amp itself has the ability to change the sync but I am still unable to match the picture with the sound. I reported the fault to a guy called Matthew in Virgin's Swansea fault team last Thursday evening ...he was going to investigate and call back the following evening...to date no call back! I have since carried out some other research on the net and it appears (I think) to be a broadcast issue and a known problem with LCD / HD technology. Other forums such as AV and cable have many threads on the issue. The BBC have even commissoned a report on the problem http://tech.ebu.ch/docs/techreview/t...dio-Delays.pdf

I understand that SKY Boxs have the ability to alter the sync, whereas the Virgin Boxs do not.

Are Virgin really looking into this problem and trying to resolve, I do not beleive they are not aware the problem exists. Have any of the other people who posted earlier on this thread had the problem resolved??? Hope to hear from someone soon'

Had a reply from someone advising 'We are looking into the problem and have been unable to re-create on a number of surround sound systems. We will continue to look into this.' Did not appear to be direct from Virgin themselves though?

Not really sure what to do next as no one at Virgin seems to admit the problem exists or claim not to know the problem exists. I am down in B'mth so has to be a nationwide problem.
