Re: Security suite for a total beginner - recs?

Kaspersky is certainly not a bad choice, my old man had 2009 and the only thing he had any trouble with was the spam filter. Maybe also look at Avira http://www.free-av.com/en/products/5...ity_suite.html slightly better detection according to the "tests"

Avast have a 2 years for the price of one at the moment (bit steep though) http://www.avast.com/en-gb/internet-security

Heard some good things about Bitdefender 2010 (not tried it, but i know a man who has ) http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/solutio...security.html#

Even Norton Internet Security

The trouble is once you start adding stuff like Sandbox`s, anti-this, anti that it does become confusing. What OS is he on, does he download much stuff and is he a reasonably safe surfer?
Is the default firewall and a free AV not going to cut it..
