Re: Asus Rampage III Extreme Warning

I asked because I did a bit of checking around to see what's new etc. I have a Q9550, 8gb Ram (not any fancy make), I did splash out on a ATI HD5850, I play games and do quite a bit of rendering. Anyway, I checked around, looked at the I7 etc and branded ram and also high spec gfx cards (I can't have any as they won't fit in my case anyway), but I couldn't find anywhere to state that anything better would make anything any better.

Apart from the odd game like Crysis which I can live without being on the crazy high settings, everything else seems to run on max and still have a lot more room to go. So I've come to the conclusion quite easily that it would be a waste of money to upgrade anything at this point. Unless I want a higher score on some benchmarking program.

Even though my PC is about a year or 2 old now, apart from the i7 I don't think that much has changed.
