I'm not scared of a new 12 month contract, its the fact that they are only going to give you the discount for 6 months, so you could end up paying more for the package in the second 6 months after they review the vip package and there is no gaurentee that they will improve the vip package as it is now or reduce its cost, they have only said that they are reviewing it.
Email the CEO's office first to make sure.

I don't think there is much chance that you'd end up paying more, the fact that they're giving the discount means they know they need to add value to the package. Unless it's all just some con to get people to sign up for another 12 months before jacking up the prices 6 months into the contract
