Remember Sky Sports HD is Sky's baby, it's massive USP and the only way they were gonna give it to VM was if they could soak up an extra cost from it. They were cornered by ofcom to give the HD for SS1 and SS2 at 'a fair reasonable price' not for no additional charge. Loads of people on here have in the past moaned and moaned about not being able to get Sky Sports HD and now it's here they're still moaning! You know, I looked at the guide for Sky Sports 3&4 and I can honestly say there is really nothing significantly in need of HD viewing cause the main stuff is on SS1/2. You've got the HD channels and if you don't mind paying only £3.50 extra per channel or much much less if you have movies as well to take advantage of your HD TV Set then go for it. If you don't want it, just don't get it in HD or don't get the channels at all, it's as simple as that really.
