Our governmental system is representative democracy, not direct democracy (fyi
).
Be careful what you wish for, or we could end up like California, where the direct democracy movement (initiatives by ballot) vote for things that cost lots of money, then vote against allowing the money to be raised to pay for the things they voted for.....
