I want to be able to record football matches on Sky Sports for my father who's in his 80's. Before V+ was installed, I had the old Virgin box which allowed me to record directly from the TV straight to my DVD hard drive and I could then transfer them onto disc for him.
Can anyone help please?

Are you using the VCR/DVD scart connection from the V+? Is the V+ in HiDef mode?
