DVD recorder is 5 years old. Don't know whether this makes a difference but just can't get programmes to copy on to it from V+ HD box. No-one at Virgin can help and one lady said that I must have an HD ready DVD recorder to do it. Surely this is nonsense as the programmes I've recorded onto the V+ box aren't even from HD channels.

I want to be able to record football matches on Sky Sports for my father who's in his 80's. Before V+ was installed, I had the old Virgin box which allowed me to record directly from the TV straight to my DVD hard drive and I could then transfer them onto disc for him.

Can anyone help please?
