I remember our son saying he felt he was living in a kind of limbo during the period between his exams and the results coming out. He couldn't seem to settle, not knowing whether his results would get him on the Uni course he wanted or send him back to 6th Form for re-sits.
Fingers crossed your son gets the results he hopes for.

I have a feeling Mr Tinks will be relieved to get back home as well Tinky. Not a happy time but the hours will pass faster if you keep busy.
