Production company Endemol, producers of Big Brother, are reportedly considering bidding for Channel Five, in a move that could pave the way for the show to remain on screen.
The owners of Five, RTL, are considering selling the UK terrestrial channel and have set a deadline of June 21 for bids for the broadcaster. Amongst those reportedly interested are ITV, BSkyB and Warner Brothers.
The sale of Five would also be tied in with the sales of Talkback Thames and Fremantlemedia which are also owned by RTL. Talkback Thames produce shows such as The Apprentice and Britain’s Got Talent.
With these major changes in terrestrial channels, could Big Brother have a new home?
