To be honest, even if i did find the sound annoying, the sight of so many people enjoying it would probably be enough to put up with it.
During the opening match we made our way from a fan park in Johannesburg to a church hall, to get a more enjoyable view. The streets were virtually empty, apart from the sound of vuzuzelas in the distance and the sight of people literally gathered outside shops to view the TVs inside. It was like a scene from a cheesy film.
