Depends on what model of tv you have and also if it is full hd or not as in 1080p, if it is 1080p then the max resolution 1920x1080 so 1600x1200 would not work if however it is a 1080i tv then the max resolution is either 1366x768 or 1024x768 so again the 1600x1200 resolution would not work.

Best bet is what make and model is the tv and also the laptop, and is it a 15pin vga lead or not with that info someone may be able to help or i can look again when i finish work at 5pm.
