here lies why VM should not sold them they was a very good tool bargaining tool would sky have caved in without VM have its own popular channels.
VM board of directors must be the most naive business men on the planet to not think Sky will want to harm its competitors.
Sky will obviously make it expensive to purchase channels or try even witheld channels.
I full expect Sky to remove channels again at some point to try and retest how many people to goto Sky. This time it will likely work as once these channels go VM will be no better than freeview/freesat and damn more expensive.
Sky caved in because people did not move in droves to make it viable to continue I think only 600k walked to sky people had VM based channels to keep they happy and the new launched Virgin 1.
I also believe once Sky inititates it again american based channels with possible influence from sky may decide to walk too if VM lose big numbers.
I fear this could be the first sparing to the demise of VM. Sky have more power and VM have less tools to prevent mass exodus. Sky know this I fully expect Ofcom will become toothless or disapear under tory.
Sadly that will leave me with freeview only cant go sky but would not want to anyway there greed stinks.
