Blimey - if you don't get flush ones, how do you deal with when the missus wants to put something flush to the exact wall you've put one on?

It's dead easy to repair the wall with some chicken wire, filler and the paint you used... even more ideal if you own the house (a pleasure I don't have!).

Cables are fine near any sort of pipework, as long as they're not close enough to get hot (fire risk, not technical).
