Sir Simon Cowell

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/...nighthood.html

I really think the Knighthood honour in particular is being overused. Even if this story turns out to be false I keep reading about people who may warrant an honour but in my view don't deserve a Knighthood.
Surely the Knighthood should be reserved as one of the nation's highest accolades but it seems like it's being handed out like sweets.

Simon Cowell has "arguably" (his phrase ) done a large amount for the British music industry and indeed some things towards charity. I do however question his motives for this. What has he done that doesn't directly benefit himself in some way - either financially or with publicity? He's pretty narcissistic isn't he?

Wouldn't an OBE be more appropriate?
