I can assign a static IP, but it will still not connect to the net, it sends packets but does not recieve any, I have tried a different network card and ethernet cable but no avail. I connect the router via homeplugs.

Any ideas?

TIA
Do the homeplugs have any kind of encryption on them? If so, is the encryption in the form of a key that is stored in the homeplug software?

Is there any possibility of plugging the PC straight in to the router.
