When the blue remote for my samsung set top box no longer wanted to remember programming to operate the TV volume/channel/etc, I did get a new remote, but they sent me a grey one that didn't work with my box. So I called back and got into an argument with the call centre staff who, along with her manager, refused to acknowledge that remotes could be set up in such a way. I hung up on that useless cretin and just flat out lied to the next person I rang and got an engineer visit and a new STB. Just for a broken remote.
Why do the simple things have to be so hard?
