you need an input not an output
if there is no optical input is there a coaxial spdif input .... if so you can connect this to the coaxial spdif output on your v+ box (if it has one .... i'm not siure if mine does or not as i use optical and i can't be botherted to mess about ripping my box out of the stacker system that its mounted in)
if there is no coaxial output from the v+ box and your surround sound has a coaxial input then you can buy an optical to coaxial converter from maplins>>
