Wish I got that much for my paintings

The thing with the Art World is that certain areas are driven by the investment potential rather than any aesthetic consideration. Unmade beds and house bricks come to mind. I doubt whoever bought this Picasso obtained it solely to treasure for it's artistic qualities, they bought it knowing that it would increase in value at a greater rate than most other non-speculative investments in their portfolio.

Having said that I do like this painting, shame it was out of my price range it would have looked good in my sitting room.
