Indeed, and you can bet that as soon as Sky start to lose money on it, they'll leave the sport, which by that time may not be able to survive on it's own.

I hate to say it, but Arthur is right. Football is in a state in this country. The top clubs are paying hundreds of thousands to each player each week. They seem to be financing this in three ways: From Sky, from Billionaire owners and from club merchandising/ticket sales.

You can bet that if the first goes, so will the second (in a lot of cases). This leaves the supporters having to pay costs that will amount to several £ million each week, together with whatever the media pays (which, you can bet will be a lot less if Sky isn't involved).
