This is the problem really, the Labour campaign and manifesto is so full of BS that attempts to introduce commitments and facts to the equation just don't get you elected as you're against someone promising the earth and an electorate a large proportion of which are gullible enough to believe it. I tend to agree, in which case people who support that view will see his unwillingness to say so as a rather cynical tactic. I really do think Clegg's in between a rock and a hard place on this and may wind up putting off a lot of potential voters due to his lack of clarity on such a major issue.
