Re: Airports closed as volcanic ash drifts toward UK

Latest from Sky News

Quote:
Air traffic control company Nats has lifted restrictions for Scotland and parts of the north of England from 7am on Tuesday.

Manchester Airport is to open at 9am and Newcastle International at 7am but passengers are being warned to contact their airline before travelling to the airport.
Sky sources understand airspace in the Midlands will reopen at 12pm and in the southern UK at 6pm.

It is understood that UK airports will then be allowed to conduct operations 24 hours a day until the flight situation returns to normal.
This last bit will upset people.

But I feel for the good of the country these people need to be home with families, and then back to work.
