Low cost airlines are different iirc, i have the same problem with flights to Barcelona for next week which i paid for on a debit card (so no refund). Your flights are in effect 'singles' so you don't get the same rights as normal flights.
I have just checked the easyjet website and it looks as though a refund or transfer is being offered.
