seems to me that sainsbury's do what a lot of companies do nowadays and ignore experience in favour of bits of paper
A similar thing happened to me ,i have been doing my job for 25 yrs or so but still had get a NVQ2 to say i knew how to do it ,and believe me i could have taught the examiner a thing or two
