I witnessed, and had a great deal of sympathy with, an elderly lady hitting the automatic checkout machine in our Tesco Store with her umbrella because it wouldn't listen to her. The assistant trying to help was bent over double with laughter as were most of us in the till queue next to her.

I hate machines, bring back human beings.
