Most of the jokes about Dawn French's size have (as far as I can tell) come from Dawn French herself.
Dawn French *is* funny, given a good script. I loved the Vicar of Dibley. Whenever she does her own act though, she tends to overuse the fat jokes.
Anyway, I wish them both good luck. I think they must have loved each other. If they hadn't, I doubt the marriage would have lasted 25 years.
