Damn, there was me thinking that editing a TV show was far more complex than buying a couple of cameras and an apple mac, I wonder why more people don't do it?
Like I said, Eastenders is currently shot on SD cameras, they are in the process of migrating to a HD set up, they are in the process of replacing end of life SD cameras with
Sony HSC-300's for the studio cameras, and
Sony PDW 700's for the location cameras. Nice and cheap!
That's just for the cameras, you're going to need to add HD capable
broadcast monitors and
control units before you can even think about using them, not to mention the editing desks which are A LOT more complex and expensive than a damn mac.
Just so you know I haven't pulled the cameras they'll use out of my ass
here's an article on it dated a mere 2 weeks ago.
