Quite a serious issue here too, I've had some personal email accounts with ntlworld for many years now, today so far I've received over 3000 duplicate emails spread across 3 accounts.
I've been using this Thunderbird addon to take care of them
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/4654 but my biggest account is receiving 75 duplicate emails every 20 minutes!
