No they are not they are standing up for themselves. The contract clearly states creative control. They obviously knew what they were doing and what they wanted. Ok they didnt foresee digital media or the net but how could they? they did however lock the contract pretty tight and EMI are just trying to find ways around.
You have to ask yourself who is the greater the performer or the record label I know they both need each other but with out performers the record label will be skint but the performer can still earn without the label
