Actually you don't as your Griff energy/effect is totally forgetting about the centrifugal force that is counteracting the effect of the gravity on items in orbit. If though an astronaut or the moon wasn't in orbit (orbit being the act of rotating around another body) then yes they would drop at exactly the same speed towards earth until they hit some form of resistance like the atmosphere..
