Utterly vulgar might be a bit of a stretch, being an admirer of the female form myself, but it is a cheap shot for sure, reading between the lines I,d say VM must be more than a little concerned if they need to stoop this low.
Well one thing you can say about Chubby is he wouldn't sugar coat it like you suggested
