re: Rate the last movie you saw
Alien, oddly enough I have recently had the pleasure of watching The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951) 9/10 and Village of the Damned (1960) 7.5/10 and they are most certainly better that the recent re-makes. Saying that, I have also had the opportunity to watch The War of the Worlds (2005) and I found it to be far superior in its narrative, than the nineteen fifty-three version (although I still rate that a 7/10 as a stand alone tale).
